Hello Folks,
On Sunday, March 21st, we will observe the mark of one year since our yoga school went online, and a little over a year since COVID-19 officially became a pandemic.
What a huge shake-up the world has had. We've endured such a tremendous amount of loss, suffering, change, and upheaval. First responders, community organizers and regular folks who live next door have shown a tremendous amount of sacrifice and courage. From political turmoil to racial, gender, and social justice, the world is a different place today than it was a year ago, and
we are all different people in it.
Yes, there's still a lot of bad stuff happening, but suffering and adversity can not only make us stronger, but more thoughtful, caring, and purposeful.
On the anniversary of our year together online, we would like to invite you to a special class to remember the victims of the pandemic, practice some yoga together, and give you a sneak peak into our new website and the direction our online yoga school will be going in.
Please join us and register for the class here, which will be held on Sunday, March 21st, 9am EST.
On or around May 1st, our current website will be dissolved, and will morph into a monthly online magazine called WITH Magazine.
The magazine will cover Yoga, philosophy, science, art, politics, religion, culture, and aesthetics, plus whatever other cultural and esoteric topics are making our worlds more interesting and beautiful. There will be interviews, personal essays, and editorials. We will share more soon but suffice to say, we are very excited to share this with you!
We will continue to have our regular schedule of classes held on Zoom, with the addition of excellent teachers for intro classes, Yoga Sutras and other textual study, and special courses.
WITH will not be your typical yoga website, and it will definitely not be your Mom's yoga magazine.
I'm really excited about it, and can't wait to show it to you! Also, at the sneak peak you'll get to meet my friend Elliot Aronow, the creative director of the magazine, Emma Moore, the designer, and the rest of our awesome team.
In the meantime, we have our regular schedule of classes that can be found here, and a new intro course (level one and two) with Sonal and Sandeep Sharma, that can be found here.
See you soon!
Eddie
