Hello Folks,
I hope this email finds you well. Over the winter months I'll be traveling a fair bit for workshops and a few conferences, so for the month of November I'll be teaching in the temple more than I have been these past few months. I am adding in some extra classes and slightly changing a couple of things up.
The
(potentially) most interesting change will be Tuesday thru Thursday. Instead of a Mysore practice, we will be having a Yoga Sangraha Room. I will be in the room with some of our recent teacher trainees, instructing the basics of the Yoga Sangraha sequences and working you towards doing them as a self-practice. During these sessions you will also be welcome to do your Ashtanga Yoga practices, but I'd like everyone who comes to at least try the opening sequences and Sun Salutations of Yoga
Sangraha before moving on to other practices. Even if you are not familiar with the sequences, there's no doubt that within a couple of days you'll pick it up.
Monday will be my day off, and on that day Carly and Sheetal will share teaching the Mysore practice - of course, you are welcome to do Yoga Sangraha practices in that class as well. We
are also adding one new class on Monday, a Kalari and Yoga class with Swati Prasad, and Hatha Yoga with Vipul Tejani on Tuesday. As well, we still have the Beginner's Yoga Sangraha on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings, for all of your family and friends who are dying to start practicing yoga!

For those who would like to come and start Mysore at 7:30am, you are welcome to do so and start at the back of the room. The carpet and chairs will be moved out of the way.
Welcome to our new teachers, Swati Prasad and Vipul Tejani!
Swati Prasad is a movement artist, wellness practitioner, and social entrepreneur with over 12 years of experience in Odissi, Kalaripayattu, and Yoga. Certified by SVYASA, her
foundation in Yoga has shaped her holistic approach to movement and well-being. After a recent life-shifting injury, she deepened her practice in Kalaripayattu, using it as a tool for resilience and recovery, and continues her training under Vinod Kadangal.
Vipul Tejani has been teaching Yoga
since 1995. He has multiple degrees in Yoga and Science, including a bachelors from South Gujarat University, and masters in Yoga Shastra from the Kavikulaguru Kalidas Sanskrit Vishvavidyalaya. He has several certificates from the Yoga Certification Board of India, including a Yoga Instructor and Yoga Evaluator level certificate. He will be teaching parts of Sukshma Vyayama, various Pranayamas, and simple asanas in his weekly class. Vipul will be live-streaming these classes from his home in
Mumbai.
