This course is oriented towards intermediate and advanced practitioners, and includes kumbhakas and bandhas, and there will
be about 60 minutes of guided practice each day. The practices are oriented towards purifying, activiting and energizing pranayamas and kriyas, so are best done early in the morning and not at night.
While there are many pranayamas that are safe for everyone to practice, this intensive will
include breath holds and contractions of the abdomen that might not be beneficial for people who are pregnant, have had recent abdominal surgery, have uncontrolled high blood pressure, lung disease, or heart disease. If you are not already familiar with kapalabhati, the basic bandhas, or bhastrika, it is best to start with Robert's beginning level pranayama course or with one of our Level 1 Pranayama teachers from Yoga Education Collective.
This intensive can be done online or in-person at the temple, however because of the 7am classes, the in-person classes will end 5 minutes before 7am.
Please write with any questions, and we look forward to seeing you on Monday morning!
