Hello Folks,
For those in NYC, Jocelyne will be teaching another 1/2 primary on Saturday, April 23rd, at 11am. This will be an in-person class only. The class is geared towards beginners and serves as an intro to Ashtanga Yoga — she won't be teaching all of the first half of primary, leaving out some of the
more complicated postures, just enough to give a nice sense of what the practice is about. She'll end with a 10-15 minute meditation, and the whole class will be roughly an hour.
If you or any of your family or friends are interested, you can sign up here.
Please stay tuned for the May schedule. We will be closed from May 2nd-8th while I have finals. Then we'll be open for classes all of the rest of May and all of June, with no other breaks except moon days and Memorial Day. In May, the pranayama classes will merge with daily practices, so we
won't have a separate pranayama class followed by asana practice, but pranayama will be included at the beginning and end of each class. This is how I practice, and it has a wonderfully calming and grounding effect on the nervous system. At a certain point it's really important to begin including pranayama into an asana practice, and so if you haven't done so yet, this could be a good opportunity to begin.
The pranayama teacher training with Robert Moses is all filled up — thank you all who have signed up! We will most likely do another in the beginning of 2023.
That's all for now. Thank you!
Eddie and Jocelyne
