Hello Folks,
I hope this email finds you all well! We have come up on our two year anniversary of teaching yoga online, and in the face of tremendous global challenges we have all managed to create new community, bonds, learning, and growth.
After a lot of thought, Robert Moses and I have decided to initiate a Pranayama Teachers Training Course online, to take a step further into the practices we have been sharing over the past two years. In this 50-hour training you’ll learn how to practice and teach a simple
pranayama protocol based on ancient yoga texts and modern science. Registration is now open and you can find out more and sign up here. This will be on zoom, recorded, and also available in-person for those in NYC.
This is the inaugural course offered by Yoga Education Collective, a new learning platform to explore, preserve, and teach traditional Yogic sadhanas and theory, created by me, Robert, and
Harshvardhan Jhaveri.
This training is meant to increase your knowledge of pranayama for both personal practice and for teaching. It is designed for yoga students who want to learn more about pranayama and yoga teachers who would like to learn how to safely teach pranayama to beginners. Psychologists, psychoanalysts, therapists, and well-being professionals are increasingly using breath-based practices for their patients, and these practices will be useful for them as well.
The pranayamas that you’ll learn in this course will expand your practical and theoretical knowledge of breath- and awareness- based practices, and include information on the breadth of pranayama practices from ancient textual references to modern science-based
studies. We will give you many hours of practice and class time to lift up your confidence and comfort level with pranayama. Upon successful completion of this course, participants will receive a Pranayama Teacher Certification from the Yoga Education Collective.
We gave a lot of thought to the cost of the course and have made various options available in a variety of currencies in order to enable people to participate.
Looking forward to seeing you online at the Pranayama TTC.

We wish to thank Roberto Maiocchi - One Digital Farm for his amazing work on the Yoga Education Collective website. If you need a
website, Roberto is highly recommended.
Thank you to Satya Moses for the great graphic at the top of this newsletter, depicting a yogi with prana flowing
via the Ida and Pingala nadis bringing about a calm balanced mind. If you need any graphic, mural, logo, I highly recommend Satya (of course).
That's all for now, please let me know if you have any questions.
Yours truly,
Eddie
PS The temple will be creating a Gayatri Mantra chanting group, instructed by Shantala Sriramaiah. We will co-teach the practice with a 3-hour class on April 3rd. It is a combination of pranayama and japa, and is a wonderful sadhana that takes only about 15-20 minutes to
complete. You can sign up for the course here. After the course completes, Shantala will lead a group practice one day per week from Europe, and I will lead another day from NYC.
